A Steamy Reunion

They hadn’t spoken in years. Two women from the same year, both out before it was fashionable, barely even nodding in the halls back then. Now they sat across from each other at Pearl’s kitchen table with reunion spreadsheets and coffee, and the conversation slipped fast. Helena’s boot brushed Pearl’s ankle. Pearl didn’t move it. A second later the papers were scattered and Helena had her up against the fridge, mouth hot at her throat. Pearl pulled her shirt up, cupped both breasts, thumbs dragging over hard nipples until Helena hissed. They fumbled toward the bedroom, tripping over jeans and underwear, falling onto Pearl’s messy sheets without turning off the hall light. Helena spread her open, tongue working fast and messy between Pearl’s legs, fingers digging into her thighs, then Pearl flipped her onto her back and straddled her face, grinding down while she reached behind to stroke Helena at the same time, neither bothering to be quiet. They came hard, shaking and laughing into each other’s skin, sweat sticking them together in the low yellow light. When they finally caught their breath, Helena pushed Pearl’s knees wide again and slid two fingers deep, slow and deliberate this time, telling her they had ten years to make up for and the night was just starting.
