Seth marches up the steps, fists tight, looking ready to tear down doors. Mona trails behind him, hesitant. She grabs his arm before he can knock and asks if he’s sure—why not just call the city? Seth shakes her off. He’s done with letters and rules. He wants Vic to hear it straight, right fucking now. Vic’s been shooting pornos in her living room. Seth can’t stand it. He clawed his way into this neighborhood. He won’t watch some horny neighbor piss all over it with cameras and moaning. When Vic answers, Seth lays into her hard. Too hard. Vic’s eyes go wet, and the tears spill. Mona snaps at him, pushes past, follows Vic into the bedroom to fix what her husband just broke. Inside, the air changes. Comfort turns hot. Mona’s hands linger. Vic leans in. Mouths meet. Then they’re on the bed, stripping each other, careful not to make noise. Seth opens the door and freezes. His wife’s got her mouth between Vic’s legs. Vic’s head’s thrown back. Neither woman stops. Seth doesn’t walk away. He steps in, drops his belt, and the fight dies in a tangle of sweat and limbs.
