Spun: Part One

Maggie just got back from college and her stomach's already in knots. Jemma shows up early, reads her friend like a book, strips her bare on the kitchen counter, and fucks her hard—tongue buried, fingers slick—until the nerves melt into something hotter. After Jemma drags her to the shower, the doorbell rings. Maggie’s heart sinks: Morgan walks in laughing, girlfriend in tow. Kate smiles and offers a hand; Maggie can barely speak. Later, the bottle spins on cheap linoleum. Every wet kiss from the others just twists the knife. Maggie slips away, shoves two fingers inside herself in the bathroom, desperate for something that belongs to her. When she comes back out, Virginia’s got her tongue halfway down Lea’s throat on the couch. The pizza guy jokes about couples and Maggie has to smile through her teeth. Nothing feels right anymore. Nothing but the burn low in her belly and the ghost of Morgan’s perfume still hanging in the air.
