Violet lets Freya through the front door like she owns the night, all heat and hurry. They drop onto the couch. Freya slaps down a tile game box. New. Stupid-looking letters. Violet shrugs, pops it open, deals out racks. Early moves look innocent—CANDY on the board—then Violet drops PUSSY, lines the triple-word score with a grin. Freya squints. Next round: BOOBS, DICK, WET. Freya snaps. “You messing with me?” Violet blinks fake-innocent, says the words just happened to fit the squares. Straight face, wicked spark behind it. Three more suggestive plays later the truth steams off the board like sweat. Freya sighs, rolls her eyes. That’s Violet’s cue. She leans in, knees sliding over denim, breath warm on Freya’s ear. “Want to stop pretending?” Freya’s laugh breaks first—short, sharp—then she grabs Violet by the collar and pulls her down.
