Lena's broke down after her boyfriend ran off with her best friend. Scorned and stewing, she hunted up Jade Baker, some woman who claimed she could hex him. When the dark-haired stranger arrived in head-to-toe black, they started tossing around ways to make him choke on the pictures he kept plastering everywhere. Jade cracked up, finally admitting the witch thing was a joke; she just liked the vibe. Lena's stomach dropped. Jade just leaned in, grin widening, and told her they could still get even if they kissed and took the evidence. The idea made Lena's face burn, but she opened her mouth to Jade's tongue anyway.
