Lost in the Scenario

Nina North sprawls across her bed, fingers tapping at the laptop, writing herself into her own story. She's cast as the protagonist, ankle throbbing in a hospital bed. When Valentina Nappi steps in as the doctor, Nina feels the room tighten. Valentina asks what hurts and slides both hands up Nina's leg, slow and deliberate, fingers mapping muscle under smooth skin. Back in her room a knock rattles the door, jerking Nina out of the fantasy. She answers and slams it shut when she sees the same doctor on her doorstep. The scene she wrote has followed her home. Heart racing, Nina rewrites: now she and Tiffany Watson are locked up in Mexico for indecent exposure. Tiffany presses close, lips hot against Nina's neck, hips grinding, hands sliding under thin fabric. Another real knock interrupts. Nina opens the door, sees Tiffany, and slams it in her face. She scrambles back to bed and yanks a blanket over her head, trying to outrun what she's created. Then both women walk into her bedroom asking where she went. They crowd in, fingers working at Nina's clothes, and she fights them off until the thought hits her. She gives an order—stop—and the characters freeze mid-reach, obedient because the words come from her keyboard. She commands Valentina to kiss Tiffany, and they melt together, mouths open, tongues sliding. Nina watches, realizing every filthy thought in her head will now happen in real time. If she's already crazy, she might as well take charge and use them.
